Back to: ALL ELKIN KNIGHT ROCK CARTOUCHE SERIES ITEMS
Maker: Elkin Knight Pattern: Rock Cartouche Series
Elkin and Knight used various partnership styles, but this series is usually attributed to Elkin, Knight & Co of The Foley Potteries, Fenton, Staffordshire. There are about a dozen different views in the series and this one Near Patterdale, appears to be previously unrecorded. Patterdale is a small village on the edge of Ullswater in the English Lake District.
Backstamp: blue printed rock cartouche with NEAR PATTERDALE.
The glaze is sound. There are a few nicks or signs of wear on the rim and a couple of the stilt marks are quite noticeable, but all very minor as this is a most attractive dish in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 24.5 x 18.5 cm / 9.5 x 7.25 ins
