Maker: Meigh Pattern: Asiatic Birds brown
Pretty stand with moulded side handles. The pattern is similar to Asiatic Pheasants, but here printed in brown. The glaze is crazed. Impressed backstamp is ES and we would love to know for sure who made this.
In English Toy China by Doris Anderson Lechler it is attributed to Charles Meigh of Hanley, Staffordshire 1832 to 1850 and we have gone along with that here.
Dimensions: 11.5 cm x 8.5 cm / 4.5 ins x 3.5 ins
