Maker: Meigh Pattern: Asiatic Birds brown
The pattern is similar to Asiatic Pheasants, but here printed in brown. The glaze is crazed, with some light staining in part. Impressed backstamp is ES and we would love to know for sure, who made this.
In English Toy China by Doris Anderson Lechler this design is attributed to Charles Meigh of Hanley, Staffordshire 1832 to 1850 and we have gone along with that here.
