Maker: Spode  Pattern: Net

Spode introduced their Net pattern about 1800 and it was copied by the Herculaneum factory in Liverpool. Marked items are rare in this pattern and this comport has been attributed to Spode from the details of the design and the shape of the piece. This beautifully shaped footed comport would have originally formed part of an extensive dessert service. It is decorated both inside and out and there is delightful floral decoration to the splay foot.
In lovely condition, bright and clean and the glaze is sound. There is a small chip under the foot rim, which is virtually hidden from view.
Superb display item of good proportions.
