Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern: Wild Rose
The scene depicts Nuneham Courtenay, Oxfordshire, the seat of the Earl Harcourt, set in grounds laid out by Capability Brown around 1780.
This is a lovely little piece. The base is printed in quite a pale blue. It has a little light crazing and inside is a little mottled and there is some minor wear to the rim, not noticeable when the cover is in place. The cover is a slightly darker blue than the base. It also has light crazing, but like the base is still bright and clean. There is a small hairline star crack from the finial join, but this sounds much worse than it looks! It also has some minor wear to the inside rim, but overall this is a lovely set.
Dimensions: Base 15 cm x 11 cm / Base 6 ins x 4.25 ins
