Maker: Unattributed Maker  Pattern: Grazing Rabbits

Rectangular with cut corners, this is the most exquisite toilet box ever. The size, shape and dimensions are to die for. Add the simple fact that it is decorated with the quality version of Grazing Rabbits and it suddenly gets so much better.
The lid has a few glazing blemishes in manufacture and a couple of minor chips to the inner rim. The base has a couple of minor nicks to the inner rim. The glaze on the lid is sound and on the base finely crazed, but with no staining. Frankly, it is difficult to imagine ever finding an example in better condition.
Inside the base 06 is impressed and inside the lid 5 is impressed and the same under the base, so clearly these were fired together and numbered to ensure that lid and base ended up together.
