Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern: Bridgeless Chinoiserie
An early example of a popular chinoiserie design, usually associated with Davenport and Minton, although other makers made it and it is also known as Hermit and Man in Doorway. This is a large drainer of good quality equal to the wares of both Davenport and Minton, but made by neither.
The glaze is finely crazed and there are some knife marks to the face and rubs to the rim through use, but overall this is in lovely condition and displays beautifully.
No makers backstamp.
Dimensions: 38.5 x 26.5 cm / 15 x 10 ins
