Maker: Minton Pattern: Queen of Sheba
This early Minton pattern is sometimes called Indian Queen and is believed to have been inspired by signs for 18th Century inns and shops, which went under names such as the Indian Queen, Old Indian Queen and Indian Queen and Star. This is a lovely small platter with indented rim.
No backstamp.
Light all over crazing to the glaze with a little associated discolouration and some wear to the outer rim otherwise absolutely fine and a delightful little platter.
