Maker: Davenport  Pattern: Scotts Illustrations

One of the lovely scenes inspired by the literary works of Sir Walter Scott. The central scene is framed by a particularly beautiful floral border. The print indicates that this is a fairly late production of this platter.
Backstamp: Davenport, Scotts Illustrations and Bride of Lammermoor. Impressed Davenport, Longport and date code 6.82 over 4. Also impressed is 20.
The main scene is printed in a fairly pale blue and there is a short white line where the tissue has torn or creased on being laid down. This is to the left of the bride and her attendant. The glaze is finely crazed, but otherwise in superb condition.
