Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern: Wild Rose
The scene depicts Nuneham Courtenay, Oxfordshire, the seat of the Earl Harcourt, set in grounds laid out by Capability Brown around 1780. This is a stunning soup tureen with amazing lion head side handles and finial to the cover.
No backstamp.
There is a little loss of glaze to part of the tureen foot, a little minor wear to one side handle and a very small rub to the finial. Overall excellent condition.
Dimensions: Tureen at neck 26.5 cm x 19 cm / Tureen at neck 10.5 ins x 7.5 ins
