Maker: Bourne and Leigh  Pattern: Asiatic Pheasants

Pie dishes in Asiatic Pheasants rarely survive today and this is the largest size we have ever seen. A game pie made in this would satisfy the largest Victorian family.
Comprehensively decorated inside plus four generous vignettes on the outside. The glaze is sound and bright. There are a few minor stress marks from the firing and the odd glaze blemish, but this is as near perfect as you could find. It is an absolutely magnificent item, which today would look as at home in the dining room as the kitchen.
