Maker: Unattributed Maker  Pattern: Asiatic Pheasants

I have a soft spot for muffin dishes and this one is particularly good. The base has two attractive pierced and moulded side handles. It is beautifully patterned inside and around the outside has wide border decoration around the body and narrow border to the foot. It has light crazing and there are a couple of signs of age but it is still bright and clean. The cover has a superb loop handle and is surrounded by an embossed leaf design. It has an area of light staining (strong muffins!) and very fine crazing otherwise fine. There are no makers marks just an impressed A or could be V! Overall it would be difficult to find a prettier dish.
