Maker: Minton  Pattern: Chinese Dragon and Bird blue with colour

Blue printed dragons and birds with hand painted green and terracotta highlights and terracotta rims. A fabulous small tureen complete with stand cover and gorgeous ladle. Lovely moulded side handles to the stand and ornate finial to the cover.
Backstamp: Chinese Dragon & Bird, M & Co, England and registration diamond for March 1853, this being the year the pattern was introduced. Also on stand impressed Mintons.
There is just a little wear to the terracotta and to the side handles and on the side of the ladle bowl a tiny glazing fault, otherwise excellent condition.
