Maker: Minton  Pattern: Chinese Dragon and Bird blue with colour

Blue printed dragons and birds with hand painted green and terracotta highlights and terracotta rim. A fabulous small stand for a tureen with lovely moulded side handles.
Backstamp: Chinese Dragon & Bird, M & Co, England and registration diamond for March 1853, this being the year the pattern was introduced and impressed Mintons.
There is a little pooling of the glaze and one or two very minor blemishes, overall excellent condition.
