Maker: Pratt  Pattern: Lake Scenery

F and R Pratt of Fenton, Staffordshire produced their Lake Scenery from about 1880 to 1920. It is a 19th century design, but it is not known from which maker Pratts acquired the printing plates.
Square with cut corners this is a good size vase and particularly well printed for this pattern. Very pretty floral border around the foot and the rim, both inside and out. There is some light crazing to the glaze but it does not detract at all from this lovely piece. There is a possible small hairline underneath to the base but this does not show through.
