Maker: Pratt  Pattern: Lake Scenery

F and R Pratt of Fenton, Staffordshire. There are two versions of Pratts Lake Scenery. The earlier one is printed in a royal blue with a multi-storey house and large tree lined lake, with a floral border. This one dates from when Cauldon took over Pratts and was destined to be relaunched as Cauldon's Blue Moore. There is a magnificent castle with a narrow tree-lined lake and the whole look is more Italianate, with a scroll border, similar to that used on Arcadian Chariots.
This hexagonal vase is printed in a lovely light blue and is in excellent condition, except for an old chip on the foot rim about 1/4 x 3/8 ins. With the castle to the front the chip is at the back.
