Maker: Spode Pattern: British Flowers
A delightful round pot in superb condition used for potted meats or pattys. The rim has a ridge, under which was tied the string to hold on the cloth or paper cover. Decorated with one of Spode's gorgeous floral designs, British Flowers on the outside and the narrow border decoration runs round the inner rim.
This pot was made during the Copeland and Garrett period 1833 to 1847 and has a blue printed backstamp of a crown over Copeland & Garrett in circular form containing the words New Blanche. This mark was in use from 1838 to 1847.
A rare survivor from an earlier way of life.
