Maker: Spode  Pattern: Willow

An absolutely gorgeous early small platter or stand for basket, with a pierced rim, which has hand painted blue line decoration. This is an early example of Spode's new Willow pattern, as the pattern has yet to be standardised and the engravers are left to display a little individuality - for example these doves have a style all of their own.
Backstamp: small blue printed workmans mark that has been recorded for the Spode factory, otherwise no maker's backstamp.
Superb condition, with hardly any signs of use and no damage, a very rare early survivor.

Dimensions: 25.5 cm x 21 cm / 10 ins x 8.25 ins
