A gorgeous little dish in such a pretty shape. Originally one of four small dishes set around a central dish on a footed comport, used perhaps for spices or confit. This shape if known to have been made by Spode.
No backstamp, but two blue painted parallel lines one set slightly higher than the other, which is recorded as a Spode maker or decorators mark, hence the attribution to Spode
A little minor wear to the rim otherwise excellent condition.
