Maker: Minton Pattern: Hermit
A wonderful dish and an early example of this attractive chinoiserie pattern. Better known as Chinoiserie Bridgeless and sometimes called Man in Doorway, it was designated Hermit by Minton. We have attributed this platter to Minton on the basis of the details of the design.
No backstamp.
Light crazing with a little minor wear to the outer rim and on the back and just a little surface scratching. Overall excellent condition and a fabulous piece.
