Maker: Unattributed Maker  Pattern: Neptune

A lovely shape of dish with pattern on the inside only. Neptune and Amphitrite (or possibly Brittania) ride in a chariot with paddle wheels drawn by hippocampi and Putti blow a horn and ride a hippocampus. The border is decorated with medallions containing the busts of heroes and are flanked by nereids and symbols including cannon, sailing ships, anchors, flags, swords, and shield
No backstamp.
There is a little surface scratching and loss of glaze to the stilt marks and just a little very minor wear to the rim, overall excellent condition and a most unusual dish.
