Maker: Ford  Pattern: Lonsdale

The successive partnerships of Smith Ford & Jones, Smith & Ford and then Samuel Ford & Co of Lincoln Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire made Lonsdale. Most items have just Lonsdale or Made in England on the back, but examples with a Samuel Ford backstamp are recorded. Unmarked examples are possibly earlier.
With gilt although this is quite worn in places. Sadly lacking its cover, but this is a lovely piece on its own - would look superb planted with bulbs. Small nick to inside rim otherwise fine.
