Herculaneum Greek Serving Dish c1815

Maker: Herculaneum  Pattern: Greek

Greek pattern also known as Etruscan and usually attributed to Herculaneum, although a marked piece is yet to be found. Ochre rims. Actually the base from a covered vegetable dish but a lovely piece in its own right. Crazing with some associated staining, noticeable mainly from underneath.

Dimensions: 20 cm across 5 cm high / 8 ins across, 2 ins high
