Maker: Unattributed Maker Pattern: Tendril
Lovely little piece. It is crazed with some light discolouration, mainly on the back. It has a small hairline to the rim, and there is a little roughness to one of the stilt marks. Overall though a delightful piece which shines like new.
No maker's backstamp. This design is normally attributed to Benjamin Adams, when the central medallion has a white background. This item is from a service, where only one piece had a backstamp, impressed Enoch Wood & Sons of Burslem. Overall there is insufficient evidence to attribute all pieces to Woods.
